Pravaah, answered.
What is barrierless tolling?
Barrierless, or multi-lane free-flow, tolling charges vehicles without toll booths, so they never stop. Krypton Pravaah charges by the kilometres actually driven.
How does Pravaah measure distance and identify vehicles?
Trips are measured by GPS in the Pravaah app, and number plates are read on normal CCTV cameras and checked against Vahan. It also works with FASTag.
What happens if a vehicle does not pay?
Unpaid trips are followed up with ANPR evidence, and the back office handles reconciliation and customer grievances.
Does barrierless tolling need major civil work?
No. Pravaah uses normal CCTV cameras with no special hardware and installs on existing roads with minimal or no civil work, monitored centrally from the cloud.
